Chief Vibes Officer
Responsible for conducting very serious field research across live music, nightlife, entertainment and wherever else the vibes lead.
- St. Pete-Clearwater, Florida
Job description:
About the Role
Visit St. Pete-Clearwater is looking for someone with impeccable taste, undeniable energy, and a sixth sense for a good time to join the SPC-Suite as our Chief Vibes Officer (CVO). Your job is simple: discover the vibe. From the places everyone’s talking about to the ones they should be, you’ll experience St. Pete-Clearwater’s BEACH.CULTURE. firsthand and help us bottle up a little of that magic. Music, nightlife, neighborhood energy, spontaneous detours, golden-hour moments and whatever else passes the vibe check are all firmly within your jurisdiction. The ideal candidate is a professional good-time-haver with a playlist for every mood, very little interest in sitting behind a desk, and an uncanny ability to know where to be before everyone else gets there. Consider this a leadership role in having excellent taste, a great time and a knack for setting trends, not following them.
Roles & Responsibilities
-
Serve as the organization’s foremost subject matter expert on good vibes.
-
You will identify key “vibey” locations within the destination and ensure they are known throughout the world as an integral piece of BEACH.CULTURE.
-
Conduct highly scientific, boots-on-the-ground research into St. Pete-Clearwater’s live music, nightlife, and entertainment scenes — from music sets and comedy shows to trivia nights, backroom speakeasies, neighborhood hangs and wherever else the vibe takes you.
-
Capture and share the people, places, and moments that give St. Pete-Clearwater its energy.
-
Turn your findings into scroll-stopping social content across Instagram, TikTok, and wherever else the people are.
-
Join forces with your fellow SPC-Suite executives, including the Chief Flavor Explorer, and Chief Sunset Curator, in the pursuit of BEACH.CULTURE.
-
Take your newfound St. Pete-Clearwater expertise on the road for a special BEACH.CULTURE. collaboration in a key U.S. market to be determined.
-
Perform other vibe-related duties as assigned. Obviously.
Vibe Skills Required
-
A creative with real-world influence and a point of view people pay attention to. DJ, musician, comedian, creator, or otherwise, you know how to bring people in.
-
Willingness to not get enamored only by the award-winning beaches, but to explore the pulse of the entire destination and dive into the locals-only locations for a personal vibe check.
-
An ability to read a room, a crowd and, ideally, a dance floor.
-
Strong communication skills and even stronger aux-cord privileges.
-
An engaging personality and comfort being both behind and in front of the camera.
-
Proficiency in capturing and creating social content across channels, with a pulse on the latest formats, trends and what’s worth sharing next.
-
A willingness to temporarily call St. Pete-Clearwater home for a 10-day in-destination assignment between November 6 and November 22, 2026.
Compensation:
This is a contract position (independent contractor, 1099)
-
$10,000 for a 10-day in-destination assignment
-
VIP experiences
-
Airfare to and from destination to be arranged and covered
-
Lodging to be arranged and funded for a 10-day stay during the in-destination assignment between November 6 and November 22, 2026
Applicable candidates will be evaluated on the following criteria:
-
Authenticity and storytelling: how compellingly the applicant (or nominee) makes the case for why they need and deserve this role
-
Creativity and originality: how memorable or distinctive the video is
-
Video presentation: clarity, watchability, effort put into the submission
-
Social presence and audience engagement: quality and authenticity of existing audience, not just follower count
-
Content creation ability: quality of past work across Instagram, TikTok and/or LinkedIn
-
Alignment with BEACH. CULTURE.: fit with Visit St. Pete-Clearwater's brand voice and destination identity
-
Availability and commitment: confirmed ability to participate in a 10-day in-destination assignment between November 6 and November 22, 2026
